Multiple Resistors

Remember that resistors in a series add together. So in this circuit:



We add the resistors together.

Now that we know what the current is we can figure out the voltage drop on either resistor by multiplying the current times the resistor.


Since adding 2v and 3v gives us back our 5v we know that our equation checks out.
